Data Analyst
Code-fluent analyst owning promotion engines, ad measurement, and growth analysis.
About the role
We’re looking for a data analyst who codes, someone who can move fluidly between SQL, Python, and a dashboard, and who’ll own data-driven projects across the company. Promotion engines, ad measurement, growth analysis, and whatever question the team needs answered next. NYC is preferred; US-remote works for the right person.

Why this role matters
Most of our highest-leverage decisions live in the data: what to promote, where to spend, which experiments to run. The analyst who owns these questions shapes the company’s direction more than they realize.
What you’ll do
- Own data-driven projects across the company: promotions, ad measurement, growth analysis.
- Write production-quality SQL and analysis code.
- Build the dashboards and tools the rest of the team uses to make decisions.
- Partner with engineering, growth, and marketing on the questions that matter.
- Push back when the data doesn’t say what someone wants it to say.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of analytics in a fast-moving company.
- Strong SQL; comfortable in Python.
- Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain a finding to a founder.
- Bias toward action: analyses that lead to decisions, not analyses that sit in a deck.
Nice to have
- Experience in commerce, marketplaces, or growth.
- Background in marketing measurement or experimentation.
How we hire
A short, focused process designed to respect your time. The specifics vary by role, but here’s the format we typically aim for:
- Intro call with a relevant team member or a founder (30 min).
- Working session: pair with a senior team member or a founder on a real data question from the role (SQL, modeling, or analysis) (~60 min).
- Depending on the role, a paid half-day trial so we can see how you work with the team, and so you can see what the problems actually look like.
- Offer within 5 business days of the final round.
