About the role

We’re looking for a growth engineer to own the engineering side of acquisition and early retention: onboarding flows, tutorials, activation experiments, and everything else that turns first sessions into long-term shoppers. You’ll work tightly with growth and product, ship fast, and read the data.

Why this role matters

Growth at our stage is what compounds. Every percentage point of activation flows through unit economics, ad budget, and the next thousand marketplaces we can launch. The experiments you ship set the trajectory.

What you’ll do

  • Build and ship onboarding, tutorial, and activation features end-to-end.
  • Design and run growth experiments: instrumentation, analysis, and rollout.
  • Partner with growth marketing on UA-related features and landing surfaces.
  • Improve early retention by shipping into the first-session experience.
  • Own the experimentation surface and measurement quality.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of full-stack or product engineering, ideally on a growth-flavored team.
  • Comfortable with experiment design, statistics, and SQL.
  • Strong product instincts. You can spot bad UX in a flow without a designer telling you.
  • Bias toward shipping experiments over polishing one perfect version.

Nice to have

  • Experience in consumer or commerce growth.
  • React Native experience.
  • Experience instrumenting funnels end-to-end.

How we hire

A short, focused process designed to respect your time. The specifics vary by role, but here’s the format we typically aim for:

  1. Intro call with a relevant team member or a founder (30 min).
  2. Working session: pair with a senior engineer or a founder on a real growth experiment or onboarding flow from the role (~60 min).
  3. Depending on the role, a paid half-day trial so we can see how you work with the team, and so you can see what the problems actually look like.
  4. Offer within 5 business days of the final round.
