Sterling Pacific full aluminum travel cases

Turtles.com announced today that it has acquired Sterling Pacific, the maker of precision aluminum and titanium travel cases. The acquisition brings Sterling Pacific into the Turtles portfolio, where the brand will be supported by Hatch, Turtles’ platform for using marketplace insights to guide product development, merchandising, and distribution.

Turtles powers marketplaces where 29M+ fans discover rare art, fashion, tech, collectibles, travel gear, and products from leading brands. Sterling Pacific fits that model well. Luggage is a passion category for people who travel often, care about build quality, and are willing to buy fewer, better things.

“Our team is constantly searching for exceptional brands with a unique story and a best-in-class product. Sterling Pacific is a perfect example of this,” said a spokesperson for Turtles. “Our data shows clear demand for durable, premium travel goods. We will use our platform’s data to accelerate Sterling Pacific’s performance and connect it with millions of shoppers across Turtles.”

About Sterling Pacific

Sterling Pacific makes metal travel cases for people who want the most exacting luggage possible: strong, repairable, and built for long-term use. The brand has developed a cult following among pilots, frequent travelers, the world’s most successful executives, and design-conscious buyers who care as much about construction as appearance.

The cases are metal throughout. Shells are made from 5000-series aluminum, with a Grade-4 titanium variant in the cabin line. More than 100 SAE 304 stainless-steel rivets hold the structure together, with rivets rated to 26,000 PSI shear strength. The patented Impact Bearing Ridges, USPTO US-D988723-S, are designed to channel impact away from the contents. Corners, frames, and internal hardware are machined metal. Handles are full-grain Italian leather from Chiampo.

Every case is SATRA-tested for static loading, drop performance, handle endurance, and wheel longevity before it ships, and the line is backed by a lifetime warranty. The cabin line runs $1,950 and $2,150; the check-in line, $2,450 and $2,650; and the titanium 35-liter cabin, $5,250.

That level of construction gives Turtles a focused entry into premium travel, a category where buyers compare materials, warranty, weight, durability, and service before they buy. Hatch will help accelerate Sterling Pacific across the marketplaces powered by Turtles where premium travel goods, designer objects, and collectible design already have strong demand.

What’s coming soon

In the coming months, Sterling Pacific will be integrated into the Turtles commerce ecosystem. The first work will focus on optimized listings, stronger product education, and placement in the marketplaces where travel, designer goods, and collectible buyers are already active.

As part of the Turtles ecosystem, Sterling Pacific will be powered by the Hatch platform, using exclusive marketplace insights to guide the creation of a large, data-driven portfolio of premium travel cases, accessories, and other product extensions.

Hatch will help the team see which sizes, finishes, materials, price points, and travel occasions are working across the network. That means Sterling Pacific can expand with more confidence, whether the next launch is a new cabin size, a deeper titanium line, a limited finish, or an accessory built around frequent travel.

A note to Sterling Pacific owners

If you own a Sterling Pacific case, you can expect the same exacting standard of craft, materials, and service that define the brand today. The lifetime warranty stays in full, and every case will continue to be built for decades of travel.

We’re excited to build on the Sterling Pacific story, introduce its cases to millions of people across Turtles, and expand the brand thoughtfully for travelers who want products built to last.
